    Is the "Postcard from Hallmark" virus real or a hoax.  I am getting emails about it.

    I would not reccomend opening any suspicious emails especially when the subject line says you won 10000000$ prize or you have just received a love letter. At best it is going to be a hoax, at worst you gonna get your machine infected.

    Moreover, is you computer protected? Do you have definitions up to date. Please also make sure your email application and browser are up-to-date and have all important security patches applied.

    I agree 100% with both of the above. It is a very good time to make sure that your defences are up-to-date should an actual threat come along.  The following site gives excellent advice on how to prepare:
