  • 1.  Is Symantec Endpoint Protection(SEP12.1.5) compatable with Palo-Alto endpoint security product?

    We run SEP12.1.5 in our environment on all nodes. Is the Palo-Alto Endpoint security product that is offered with our PA-5050 Firewall compatable? Or does it cause issues being on the same client?

    PAES is more geared towards detecting targeted attacks and APTs. Think FireEye but for the workstation. It's another layer of security so it should work with SEP from what I've been told.

    It should be compatible but you may want to contact the vender to confirm if any exception files need to be excluded from current scanning as there have been issues where .tmp files created by other security products have been detected and quarantined by SEP causing the other application issues.
