SEPM login revert to login screen. Fix?

Hi,

This is one of the most common issues with Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager.

Below is the cause and the fix and let me know.

Cause of this issue:

IUSR account not present for the Local Machine & IUSR permissions.

Fix for this issue:

1. Created the IUSR account with Member of > User, Guest groups.

  • Do this in Windows servers.
  • Right Click My Computer Left Click Manage
  • Expand Local Users and Groups
  • Select Users > then click on Action Menu > Click New User, Create a new user
  • Right Click on the New User created and go to Properties.
  • Click on Member of Tab then add Users and Guests Group

2. Added the new user to Symantec web site in IIS

  • Go to Properties of Symantec Web Server
  • Go to Directory Security tab
  • Edit under Authentication and Access Control
  • Add the IUSR account and password.

3. Restart the IISAdmin services and SEPM Service.

4. Login to SEPM Console.
