Facts about Combining licenses
- Altiris products are not “additive” but replace existing licenses instead.
- Licenses must have valid maintenance to combine
- Expiry dates will be taken the earlier date or an average date on the combined license file(never the latest date).
Note: Make sure that the licenses that you would like to combine are already registered.

Here are the steps on how to combine the licenses in Licensing Portal:
1. On the License Portal Home Page, Click View All Licenses
2.All the companies registered licenses will be displayed on the next page. Find the product you would like to download (choose the most recent/valid license as combining cannot be done without valid maintenance) and then click on “View Details”.
3. Click Combine Licenses Button. It will pop up a new window
4. In the new window, there are two options to combine licenses.
Option 1 will combine all the licenses under this Licensing Portal account no matter which company it belongs to. You can just click on the 'Download Now' button to download the combined license file.
Option 2, tick the company name that the license you want to combine and also tick ' new licenses'
5. Click ' Download Now' to download the new combined license component.
in addition to what florence posted. The licenses should be on the same version and should have also a valid support contract.
Please note that if you are combining Altiris licenses suite , these should be upgraded first to the latest version ( 7.1 ) . You may call Customer Care Licensing Department to obtain the Version Upgrde Notification ID and register it in the Portal before processing the combining of licenses.
