Windows 11 23H2 and Symantec Ghost stopping

i am using ghost with pe 5 on dell machines. i created an new image using windows 11 23H2 and ghost stops at 50% with no errors. Network admin worked with me for two hours and no errors other than just stopping. 

i then ghosted the image from a external drive and got the following message:  "this application has requested the runtime to terminate in an unusual way"

the first time is mentioned framenet. so i checked and my framenet was not installed (all versions). i installed them and retested. now i got the same error but a mention of runtime library. i downloaded and installed c++ distri library, cleaned up image and ghosted. 

same error all the time now and haven't seen anything like this posted anywhere. 

this all started in november 2023, so i figured, wait awhile, push more updates, cleanup and ghost. ~ still  , same runtime error. 

i also went back and turned off new security feature core isolation and scan memory. no help. 

any ideas?

What version of GSS are you using ( Go to help > About )? Should be on GSS RU11 for latest support of WINPE11 and newer hardware.

Now are you perfoming Hot Imaging? ( should be a winpe environment ) Hot imaging is where ghost runs in a production environment?

If running in winpe environment how was the machine shut down. If the machine was shutdown forcable it may leave a log bit on the drive try using -ntil -ntic -ntexact command line parameters for ghost

got it. i was still using "standalone" for ghost boot disk. i switched to "network" and the ghost cast is no longer grayed out.

the got it was for creating a boot disk using pe 10 or 11.  i am still having a problem with ghost and windows 23H2. it stops around 58% now and

the spot it stopped at current file: 82652 wordpadfilter.dll
