  • 1.  Server Inventory Agent Not Collecting Database Info on Some Servers

    Posted 21 hours ago

    I have noticed that Inventory is not gathering the SQL Database information (instance, etc.) on SOME SQL servers.  I have captured the inventory files and inspected the NSEs and found no database information within the database dataclass in the NSE.  The dataclass is listed, but contains no detail (see below).

    </dataClass>
    <dataClass guid="{38473C2C-2605-45DC-977B-BAB0FE1A0E64}">
    <data>
    <resource partialUpdate="false"/>
    </data>
    </dataClass>

    I have uninstalled the inventory and server inventory agent and reinstalled, but the same issue persists.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Hi Jeff Stanton!

    Open "Advanced" settings and try to use a "Logged in user" or specify user manually.

    Best regards,
    IP.

    Hi Igor.  Thanks for the reply.  I tried selecting both "logged on user" as well as a specific named user and that did not work either.  Do you have any other suggestions?

    Thanks!

    Hi Jeff - have you tested with the enable verbose client logging in the inventory task, plus enabling verbose/trace/debug logging on the target server? Also, same results if the delta is unchecked to force it to send a full? Is the agent and inventory server pack plug-in fully upgraded?
