Will SEP 14.3RU5 be the last update for 32bit operating systems?  Ya ... I hate to admit it but we still have one left ... it needs to go anyway.

    Hey Sherry,

    As per this page: https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/symantec-security-software/endpoint-security-and-management/endpoint-protection/all/release-notes/system-requirements-for-v53308029-d69e1453.html

"14.3 RU6 no longer supports computers that run the Microsoft Windows 32-bit operating system. 32-bit computers should run the 14.3 RU5 client."

    All the best,
    -Mike

I did see that site you referenced but what I want to know is will RU5 be the last update for 32-bit operating systems? Will Symantec no longer support 32-bit OS?

I must not be understanding your question then. This quote implies to me that RU5 is the last:

"14.3 RU6 no longer supports computers that run the Microsoft Windows 32-bit operating system. 32-bit computers should run the 14.3 RU5 client."

I've never seen Broadcom (Symantec) drop OS support with one version, and then add OS support with a subsequent version. The only thing I can see happening is an updated version of 14.3 RU5 being released to resolve a SEP security vulnerability on a 32 bit Windows OS.

Mdubya is correct. 14.3 RU5 is the last version to support 32-bit operating systems. 14.3 RU6 and later will not support or install on the 32-bit OS.
