    Hi,

We are having an issue whereby patch management is showing multiple versions of patches applicable for single machines, even when not superseded is selected.

For example, Teamviewer showing 4 versions, and Notepad++ showing 2 versions.

Is this down to incorrect patch metadata?

    Please see the screenshots.

    Thanks,

    Phil

    Hi Phil,

problem for Notepad++ is caused by removed NPPP-230809 bulletin that included Notepad++ 8.5.5.0 version (as result NPPP-230619 doesn't have a superseding bulletin and there is a gap in supersedence chain):

This bulletin was removed because of a crash found in this version - here is information from Notepad++ Github repository

I will check with the content team whether they can setup NPPP-230815 to directly supersede NPPP-230619.
I cannot reproduce your problem with TeamViewer updates. There is no gap in TeamViewer supersedence chain:
and compliance reports display applicable bulletins correctly.
    All bulletins:
    and 'not superseded' only:

May you clarify what do you get in these reports and share STPatchAssessment.log and STPatchAssessment.xml files from C:\Program Files\Altiris\Altiris Agent\Agents\SoftwareManagement\Software Delivery\{6D417916-467C-46A7-A870-6D86D9345B61}\cache folder on one of the affected computers?

    Thank you,
    Dmitri.

    Hi Dmitri,

Thanks for that on the Notepad++ side.

On the TeamViewer side the reports look a little different

    Windows Superseded Bulletins
I can see that there are a few versions of TeamViewer 15 that don't show superseded by data.
    Patch import version 7.3.1433
I'll see if I can get someone to retrieve the logs from one of the affected machines.
    Thank you,
    Phil

    Hi Phil,

may you limit report output to just TeamViewer 15 bulletins (type 'tview15' to the report's search box) and sort by Released date so we can see all gaps in the corresponding supersedence chain?

May you also clarify what version of Patch Management solution do you have? TeamViewer removes earlier versions of their software from the web site so older bulletins for this product become "manually downloadable" (and could be removed from the management server with Patch Management solution that doesn't support them [earlier than 8.6 RU3] resulting in gaps in the supersedence chanin).

    Hi Dmitri,

That's probably the cause then, this install is 8.6 RU2

    Thanks

    Hi Phil,

Notepad++ supersedence issue is fixed in today's PMImport 7.3.1467:
