Messaging gateway is dead

Where is the support for messaging gateway?  Did it just fall off the Broadcom website??  It's like the support docs just fell off the earth.  Should I continue using smg, or is just a website refresh happening. It's just so weird. I love the product, but it appears like messaging gateway is EOL. I sure hope not.

It’s weird. It’s like smg is no longer in support. And knowledge based articles are gone / missing.

You may want to ask the smg product group?

SMG is far from "dead".  We are actively developing and testing release 10.8.1, which we expect to make available in the next few months, and we are planning on another release in the later part of this year.  We have a full roadmap going forward and we are actively resolving customer issues.

So why is the knowledge articles page gone. And why is EOL of 10.8.X not listed. There were listed a week ago, now they are gone. Why? It is all to coincidental???!!!

right now, walking through things, and they all seem to be attached.

(The 10.8.0 late breaking release notes) I'm looking at that as well.

    Hello Alexander.
You're whole thread is is really problematic. You are making many claims that are completely unverified and could be seen as a bad faith attack on the product. I know you love SMG, but these types of forum posts are not good. Please be more considerate of what you are posting and, more specifically, what you are stating.

In regards to your question, you opened a case on this and I responded, which would have resolved this quite quickly.

For the sake of how this thread is going, I'll repost my response to you here:

    To answer your questions:

    Is messaging gateway EOL??

Older versions of the Messaging Gateway are EOL. Current versions will be supported for years to come. Newer versions will be supported for years after their release.

More on product supportability can be found in the Product Lifecycle page as described here:

End of life and product lifecycle information for Broadcom, CA, and Symantec products

Why is the Broadcom support page not really showing smg?

I don't have enough detail from you to answer this. In Messaging Gateway if you click on the small gear icon in the top right of the Control Center (when logged in) and click Help, you will be taken to context sensitive help for that page, which should be working fine.

However, if you are having issues with the portal, rather than with Messaging Gateway directly, our Customer Care team can help with that. I don't have much access to portal functionality. I can open a case with the Customer Care team for you if you would like.

Are we sure that future innovations are coming?

    Yes

    Or is it abandonware?????

    No

The Messaging Gateway still has a large roadmap ahead of it. If you would like specific information on the roadmap or upcoming information on the Messaging Gateway, then your Sales team would be the best resource, they would generally have more direct access to future leaning information than the Support team has, as our primary goal is to support what has already been released.

Let me know if you have any questions on the information above, or if this case is ready to be archived.

Please update the case if you have any further questions. For anyone else reading this, please see the above for the answers.

    Best regards,
