  • 1.  ITMS 8.7.1 Upgrade - NS Agent "The server is currently too busy to processes the request"

    We recently updated to 8.7.1 from 8.7.0 and for some reason the primary notification server's SMP agent now fails to allow any sort of update configuration.

    Other managed servers are communicating just fine. It's just the NS can't update configuration from itself.

    Altiris Log Viewer shows very little useful information:

    I've tried reinstalling the SMP agent without any luck so far. It wasn't doing this on 8.7.0 or previous versions.

    EDIT: Looks like after talking with support there may be an issue with 8.7.1 that they're working on a hotfix for.

    Hi Nonya!

    Here is a point fix for this problem: https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article?articleId=273903
    "SMA_SMP_8_7_1_PF_v1_20Sep2023.zip" point fix should be applied on NS Server
    "Remote_TS_8_7_1_PF_v1_20Sep2023.zip"
    point fix should be applied on every remote Task Server 

    Note: 
    Both point fixes don't require any SMA or plug-ins upgrade.
