I tried to encrypt a laptop with Toshiba Tecra A40-C-14V with Windows 7 without success.

This laptop has a TOSHIBA MQ01ACF050. Windows detects this device as SCSI.

In the Best Practices I saw that PGP does not support SCSI.

    PGP supports these discs soon?

Should I look for another product to encrypt my laptop?

    Regards

Make sure the BIOS is set to AHCI, not RAID.  I have seen many drives recently reporting as SCSI anyway, and that doesn't necessarily exclude it from drive encryption.  What does it show when you try to go into Symantec Encryption Desktop (PGP Desktop) and encrypt the drive?  Let me know your results.
