Based on the logs, can you confirm if you're loading the correct .jdb file that is based on your current SEP v12 level and not SEP v14? There are various SEP v12 versions on offer. (v12.1, v12.1.2, 12.1.3 or later)

Check, confirm that you're selecting the correct version, download and then copy it across - see how you get on.

Tony thanks for the reply. SepM version is 12.1.5 (12.1 RU5) build 5337

I download the following jdb http://definitions.symantec.com/defs/jdb/vd54d812.jdb

    from https://www.symantec.com/security_response/definitions/download/detail.jsp?gid=sep

Do you think it is ok or there is an alternate version I can try?

    Thanks again

Yes, that looked correct to me, thanks.

I see there is a different file, so what you can try to do is to reboot the SEPM server, redownload the file and try again.

Thanks Tony. I rebooted the server and downloaded the following:

    http://definitions.symantec.com/defs/jdb/vd54da14.jdb

Unfortunately error again (vd54da14.jdb.err). New log is attached. If there are any ideas, pls advise.

Thanks. anything interesting from vd54da14.jdb.err file? The log file you attached has various errors, but can't make out to why.

Can you download and run SymDiag on the server - https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH170752.html and see if there's anything reported back from it?
