  • 1.  Adding MAC Client Package to Windows SEPM Console

Can this be done?  I've running 12.1.4 on a Win2003 manager server, And by default his has a  MAC 12.1.4 package in the Admin  > install packages section, next to the regular windows.

I have downloaded the latest version 12.1.6 MP2 once as a zip file (with two .tgz and one .dmg file)  and once as apart of the larger SEP12.1.6 MP3 complete package (a SEP_Mac folder holding the same the .tgz and .dmg files as the zip version)

However, when I select add a client install package I get the following error message on both:

"You cannot add this client install package becuase the package contains a single .EXE file. The sylink.xml file is missing or corrupted in this package."

I can create a package from the older already installed version, however can I get this new package installed onto the SEPM server so I can push  / create a MAC installer package to then be executed as a part of a MAC build process.

I can see references online to using the DMG file to install directly onto a MAC.

    Thanks you for any help.

Yes, it can be done. Please go thru this article for adding packages, Mac included. There is a specific file you need to import, not the exe or DMG

Manually import client packages into Endpoint Protection Manager

It might be a corupt package installed into the SEPM I'd try downloading the packages only again from symantec fileconnect and re-import them back into the SEPM see if that resolves the issue if Brian's link doesn't work.
