    We receive Single Risk Event when virus is detected. I believed it is set in notification(by me).But the email format is of HTML, and may contain unknown format, so that when I forward this email to a monitor tool of our company, content becomes messy code. How can I change the email content to Plain Text format,but keep the original information like Risk File path, User ID.....?

    If no way to change the content, can we change the subject of notification?

    Hi

    I had the same problem.

    Go here

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\tomcat\etc\conf.properties

    Add this line to the conf file, then all emails will be in normal text.

    scm.email.content.type=text/plain

    Restart server/service.

    This works with single risk event, but some of them you will also have mht reports added.

    Your single risk event mail size will also go down from 30kb to 3 kb.

    Regards

    Jimmie

    Thanks for posting.

    Was this publicly available somewhere or did support assist?

    Seems there are quite a few changes like this that can be made to the conf.properties file to "unlock" certain settings or features but a call to support is usually needed to know what to add.

    Hi

    I found it here

    http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH189497&profileURL=https%3A%2F%2Fsymaccount-profile.symantec.com%2FSSO%2Findex.jsp%3FssoID%3D1372197447125R9nk2yLZS7kkxPyss4leLgrt3zB1i36eRlFv0

    and

    http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&pmv=print&impressions=&viewlocale=&id=TECH105865

    NOTE: Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) 12.1.1101.401 (RU1 MP1) supports sending email notifications in plain text format.
    The default format remains HTML.
    To send notifications in plain text format, the SEPM administrator must edit the conf.properties file on the server and add the following new line:
    scm.email.content.type=text/plain

    Regards
