I encountered the following the error "Couldn't connect to the SMTP server using the specified settings. Please re-enter the SMTP settings." when entering the SMTP setting in the General Settings on Enforce console.
However, the settings are properly entered and I can log into Exchange OWA using the credentials. I am also able to telnet to the SMTP server via port 25.
System Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
User ID: example\dlp.mail
I need urgent solution on this.

What is the DLP version on which you are facing this issue ? Also share the OS details for Enforce and SMTP (Detection server ).
If it's 15.1 , We will need to follow below :
Stop all DLP Services on Enforce Box
On the 15.1 Enforce install, remove both mail-1.4.7.jar and javax.mail1.6.0 jar from the following directories:
<DLP_home>\Server Platform Common\15.1\Protect\lib\jar
Place the mail.jar in the below location
Start all the DLP Services on Enforce Box
I missed to attach the relevant files , i will attach them in a while .
I have contacted the Technical Support and they have provided me with the files and steps necessary. They mentioned the same steps and I managed to resolve the issue.
