A customer has Boldon James deployed in their infrastructure (version 3.14) to classify Office documents and emails (Outlook) and they bought Symantec DLP Enterprise Suite to integrate with, to prevent exfiltration of sensitive marked data. They will start the deployment on the Endpoint channel (Discover/Prevent). DLP version to be deployed will be the latest one: 15.5 (it has to be this one due to Windows 10 OS versions they have, to support the agent).
Of course, there is a solution brief from Boldon James (in attach) talking about the integration with Symantec DLP, and there are some topics here in this forum talking about this integration (like this one: https://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/monitorblock-emails-protective-marking-when-leaving-company-endpoint-prevent) but I would like to have more details about the integration, if possible. The customer goals at this stage are quite straightforward:
- Prevent exfiltration of sensitive marked data (Boldon James) via direct-attached USB, email client (Outlook) and browser-based cloud apps (OneDrive, Dropbox, ...)
With this in mind, can someone provide some insight about the integration, given the customer goals? What DLP modules wil be required (customer bought Enterprise Suite)?
