Hi All, we have proxysg which is uploading access logs to the reporter with the configuration

We would like to know if proxysg uses Implicit or explicit ftps to help decide on port 21.

    Appreciate your response on this.

    Hi SymSpec,

The Proxy is going to use explicit and not implicit. Please see the below KB for reference.

    Thanks!

Hi Jacob, thanks for the document. Appreciate it.

Does any special requirements are needed from the firewall side apart from opening port 21?

    Hi SymSpec,

We cannot speak on how to configure the firewall, other than at the end of the day, if it is between the ProxySG and the Reporter then it should not be blocking the traffic. The ProxySG has a test upload button that you can use to test the connection under Configuration > Access Logging > Logs > Upload Client > Test Upload

Use SCP, don't use FTP or FTPS. We need to get away from these bad protocols. If they had SFTP on this box that would be nice.  I use SCP for our logs going to the Reporter. Works like a charm and it's secure.
