  • 1.  Can we migrate our existing SMG to AWS

    Hi,

    Currently we are using Symantec messaging gateway (10.7.3-5) with 2 scanners and 1 Control center in our on-prem environment. Now the requirement is to migrate our SMG to AWS.

    So my questions are:
    1. Is it possible to migrate our existing SMG to AWS
    2. Is there any latency issues/challenges between SMG and Domain controller as our domain controller is in on-prem environment to have LDap queries.
    3. What type of connectives do we require between if SMG (in AWS) and DC (on-prem).
    Overall the scenario is going to work as expected.

    Kindly help me on this as I am unable to find any article related to our scenario.

    While it is on the SMG product road map to have support for cloud-based platforms, it is not currently available currently.
