  • 1.  SMG scanner was not receiving inbound emails

    Hi,

    We have two scanners with one control center with latest version 10.7.3-5 in our domain. Suddenly inbound emails are not receiving from one of our scanner. Verified the logs of effected scanner and can see Lakhs of error logs on MTA service.

    Restarted MTA and Brightmail service for immediate resolution but need to know why this issue happened and what is the permanent fix for this.

    please help.

    This appears to match a known issue which infrequently occurs when loading a new antivirus update. A restart of the MTA or Brightmail engine will force a reload of the antivirus definitions from disk which resolves the issue.

    Please see Messaging Gateway stops processing messages until the appliance is rebooted or the MTA service is restarted for details.
