At the current time, Messaging Gateway is not supported on AWS, we are looking into support for cloud platforms in future releases of the product.

I know some customers have done/are doing it, but it is not yet a supported platform.
If running SMG under AWS will be of value to your business, I urge you to please contact your account team so we can get the request in front of Product Management.  

Also, if you have specific requirements around the feature please get those in as well to help ensure that the implementation provides the most value for your needs.
