Hello ITA,
If reading closer in to the MS documentation about Office365 , MS Teams the Microsoft is recommencing not sending this traffic trough a proxy.
MS Teams Voice and Video is using UDP protocol initial.
- If the Proxy is deployed in Explicit , and if the UDP traffic is being explicitly sent to the proxy then that UDP traffic will be dropped by the proxy, as explicit proxy does not support UDP traffic. However if the UDP traffic is not being sent to the proxy explicitly that mean that the UDP traffic is going direct to the GW(Firewall) and out the internet so we would recommend checking the FIrewall logs for traffic that comes direct from the client IP.
- If the proxy is deployed in Transparent (Inline/WCCP/PBR) then UDP traffic will be bypassed (not touched and passed on with original source client and IP) by the proxy, in that case the GW(Firewall) will see that traffic as coming direct from the client IP and not from the proxy.
In both cases we recommend you double check the Firewall restriction policies for direct traffic from the end users IPs.
If you are convinced that the Firewall is not blocking that traffic then , please engage your network admin team and follow the packets for MS Teams Voice and Video and determine where do those packet stop.
I Hope this helps.
Slava
