  • 1.  I am getting an error everytime I try to edit the preferences.cfg file

    Hi;

    In the cli "Enable" mode, every-time I try to edit this file using the command:

    edit-settings edit preferences.cfg

    I get the error:

    E437 Terminal capability "CM" required.

    I am logged in to the CLI using the username admin.

    what version of reporter are you using
    also I highly recommend NOT editing the config files unless directed to by support

    I contacted support and they recommended an upgrade to version 10.5.2. They also told me that starting from version 10.2, you need to edit the preferences.cfg file in the conf t mode rather than the "enable mode.

    I was able to edit the file with a "vi" like editor. This was done in coordination with Broadcom support.
