  • 1.  User count for BCWF / BCIS licensing

    I would like to know the idea behind the "user count" licensing of the WebFilter (BCWF) and Intelligence Services (BCIS).
    • Is it "unique users" ?
    • If so, what is a user?
      • Authenticated users?
      • src IP addresses?
    • What's the best way to count these to adjust our licensing?
      • Is it ProxySG WebUI: Statistics -> System -> Resources -> Concurrent Users
      • If so, concurrent users in terms of last 60 Min, last day, last week, or last month?

    Thank you very much!

    PS: In another discussion a similar question has been asked but the information where not satisfying for me.

    have a look here:

    https://docs.broadcom.com/docs/network-protection-products-8-17-pur-supplement-en
    -->
    "...A user means, for purposes of BCWF, any end user that may access (through any number of devices such as a mobile device and desktop), at any time, the Internet via one or more ProxySG or SWG VAs that utilizes BCWF. ..."

    Best way to count is to run Report in Proxy Reporter and count source Ips. Just the once make use of the webfilter based on your policy.
