We are using an On-Premise Full Web Isolation Virtual Appliance, Demo Edition installed as a Proxy and Threat Isolation Engine and all the web functionality is working fine.  ( Isolation - Block - Authentication - Logs & Reports ).

Can this Threat Isolation Platform being used as the Mail Isolation appliance URL refered in the Symantec Mail Gateway as the Email Threat Isolation Prepend value field, that redirects the browser to your Symantec Email Threat Isolation appliance :

        For example:https://server-threat-isolation.mycompany.com/?url=

Using this syntax, the following error appears when the URL link is opened :

    Cannot GET /?url=www.symantec.com

SMG adds signature and cookie, more details:

When the SMG rewrites a link’s URL, the rewritten URL uses the following format:
    https://<isolation-portal-host>/smg/<version>?url=<target_url>&metadata=<metadata>&sig=<sig>
    where:
<isolation-portal-host> is the name of the Isolation Portal
<version> is the version number of the SMG library (currently, the version is 1)
    <target_url> is the original URL
<metadata> is the metadata that SMG sends to the Isolation Portal
<sig> is a signature that proves to the TIE that the URL was signed by an SMG instance

So, simple browsing with above example ?url= will not do it, it has to auth users by SMG signature and then the URL will be rewritten into above form.
