  • 1.  Question - Windows Server 2016 Datacenter

    Is GSS 3.3 compatible with Windows Server 2016 Datacenter?

    Documents show it's compatible with Standard Edition, but I just wanted to be sure if that included Datacenter edition or not.

    Hi,

     

    The GSS 3.x Support Matrix below shows that Server 2016 is supported from GSS 3.1 MP5 onwards. But only for the client installation, not for the server installation.

    If it shows Server 2016 Standard but not Datacenter, then technically it isn't supported although you can always take the chance and install the agent on it. Be aware though that you will not receive support from Symantec for an unsupported installation.

    https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.HOWTO111528.html? is the lastest support platform and only 2016 standard is supported.
