I have unique builds in my IT labs so I always had to unicast, and the tried and true boot floppy (now I use 3" mini boot CD's) did the trick. I will soon be managing standard identical builds in some student labs. I want to learn to use PXE and Multicasting. (GSS2) Any training/learning/advice for a rookie in this area? Any advantage to using DeployCenter/PowerQuest instead of Ghost?

Boy PXE is being a popular discussion these days.

I put together a detailed step by step instructions on how to setup a PXE server using the 3com boot services:
or download a word doc here:

I have used both PXE the the one that comes from Ghost (3com) and the one from Powerquest, I like the Ghost(3com) much better. Once you have it setup you can use the boottab editor to do everything, including editing/modifying the virtual floppies. In Powerquest you had to use 3 different editors.
