Installed update JRE 7 Update 51, in testing console functionality Java doesnt like the Package Check Java applet on the import when listing files from a destination path. I lowered the security on the Java and added an exclusion for the Notification Server but no dice. Anyone else have any luck?

    Hi,

I have no problem when I move down Security Level for Java.

Also you can simply add the SMP web addresses to the Security Exceptions List under the Security tab in the Java Control Panel app

We had some issues as well with update 51.  I installed it on my workstation but then could not get the SEPM to open up.  Had to roll back to the older Java version to get back to a functioning console.  Im sure this update 'broke' a ton of stuff.  Any fixes from Symantec on this would be great.

    Dmitri,

Thanks for the feedback, as I described earlier we tried that but I will go back and attempt it again. Maybe something got lost in the process.

I had some weird Java issues when I went to 7.5 2 weeks ago or so with the console.  I started up CMS in private browsing session, worked fine.  Went back to normal browsing IE session and it continued to work.

I upgraded to java 51 yesterday and haven't had any issues.

Maybe the private browsing trick will work for you... also make sure there isn't a java prompt waiting for your attention in the background/hidden.  I saw this today with a software import (I run on medium as well).

Thanks Sally, currently were still running 7.1 and prepping for upgrade to 7.5 so thats good to note maybe there was a change to 7.5 with signed JAR files.

Figured out the issue, Java Security and Exclusions are profile based. We have a multi-tiered accounts and had to set Java Security under the account running the SMP Console.

    Thanks All,

This is easily fixed for the JAVA remote console by going here:

    Hi Igor,

When is the HF3 planned to be released? Does the HF3 contains the fixes from HF2?

    Hi Stefan,

today is a day of 7.5 HF3 release.

I don't have this information, whether all HF2 fixes are included in HF3 or not. Probably better to wait official release notes and KB for 7.5 HF3 release.

    Thanks,

    IP.
