Reconstruct RAID on SMG

Hi guys!

We have a SMG appliance with disk failure, Dell will send a new disk but I need to know how to rebuild the RAID without loosing the S.O.

Technically replacing the drive will see the RAID configuration rebuild itself, unless it's RAID0 and you've then lost all your data anyways.

I would recommend grabbing a backup of the appliance before replacing the HDD. You can also follow the rebuild as per the TN below:

But also check out the Admin Guide as this should have further steps to replacing the HDD.

Hi I've done it years ago, not relyable anymore i would say. But as craig suggested, hopevully having a backup its straight forward. Besides i would discuss the procedure with Support Sorry for little help Thomas
