    Hello All,

I've been trying to boot my laptop (Dell Latitude E5510) with a ghost cd and it doesn't get past the message "mouse driver installed" All I could see is a cursor blinking right below and it doesn't go any fruther. I'm able to boot the same CD from Compaq NX6320 laptop. I'm not that computer savvy. I would really appreciate if you could give me some clue as to how to proceed.

Please feel free to ask any detail that could help you understand this issue.

    Many thanks

The mouse driver in the Ghost CD is clearly incompatible with your E5510. The simplest solution is to remove the line that loads the mouse driver from your autoexec.bat file and run ghost using the keyboard to select options. This may require a new CD to be created.

What version of Ghost are you using? If you are using Norton Ghost, please follow the link in the sticky posting at the top of this forum to the Norton Community as that is where the retail version of Ghost is supported. This forum supports the corporate Ghost Solution Suite which is based on different technology to the Norton product.
