Problems Ghosting with Marvell Yukon NIC

Hi everyone. Just signed up to this forum and hope someone can help me.

I have recently installed GSS 2.5 and tried creating a new image from a PC with an MSI MS7357 mother board with an on board Marvell Yukon 88E8056 network chip. If I use compression when creating the image it fails. Without compression the create task completes, but a check image fails the verification. I have installed an old Realtek network card and that seems to work ok with or without compression. I have tried drivers supplied with the motherboard CD and from the MSI website. I have also tried drivers from the Marvell website but the symtoms have not changed. I have created WinPE CDs with each of these drivers as well as one with the built in Marvell Yukon driver without success. I have tried creating the image with Ghost32.exe and from the console with the Ghost client installed on Windows XP. I have experimented with the network card settings in Windows XP (100MB, 1GB even 10MB, Auto negotiate. Disabled offloading CRC check, tried different RX and TX buffer sizes). I have tried connecting directly to the PC with a crossover cable and via a HP ProCurve switch.

I have previously used Ghost 8.0 with Gigabyte motherboards with the Marvell Yukon on board with no problems.

I have not tried with a DOS client yet, partly because of the increasing difficulty of getting NDIS drivers for newer motherboards, which was one of the factors in upgrading to GSS 2.5 in the first place.

I am rapidly running out of ideas, so any suggestions on getting this to work would be great as I have 40 of these PCs to roll out and time is not on my side.

    Thanks
