Getting the "initializing loader" screen after encrypting HDD. Have new Dell laptop, Vostro 3350, Win 7 Pro, 64-bit.
I don't have phone support, only upgrade assurance. Am trying like crazy to get a link to the "10.1.2 SP2" patch that I have read fixes this issue. I called support and they told me the only way to get the download is through "www.symantec.con/connect" I don't see how this is going to get me the patch.
I created a support case at http://customercare.symantec.com and twice they gave me the link to get the "original" product and not the SP2 patch. The third try with them, they said they had the issue resolved and to call tech support to get the download. I had just got off the phone with a tech support person and that is when they refereed me to "www.symantec.con/connect". They said I didn't have phone support so they could not help me.
How do you go about getting this damn patch if you only have "upgrade assurance" and not phone support. The product does not work without the patch, symantec's responsibility to fix but they are making difficult to get this patch. I believe it should be available on my product download page where I downloaded the original product.
If anyone can please help, I would GREATLY appreciate it.
