    Hello,

we've been dealing with this issue for over one year ; situation looks like that: SEP (cloud managed version) is installed on each pc/laptop in our company. Outgoing connections are filtered-out on our router by default ; so the only possible way to reach the internet is using our Proxy Server. And till now all is ok. The problem occurs mainly  on the Servers and some desktops, which are up all the time (without rebooting / shuting down) ; every few days on random selected machine there is a problem called 'Proxy server is unreachable'  (see attachment) . It's obvious that sometimes a network problems occour (lags, timeouts) ; BUT WHY doesn't SEP reconnect after some timeout? Every second day I log into hostedendpoint.spn.com ; click on computers which are marked as 'need attention' to find out where should I physically go to click Update virus definition. After clicking update ; SEP will fail to download latest definition - in this case we have to click 'FIX' ; and then SEP shows that Proxy settings were fixed (in fact nothing has changed at all) and then it's OK for next few days.

The worst thing is, that after some other days computers which are marked as 'Neet attention' go to the state 'At Risk' and then it's  usually impossible to fix it withoud reinstalling   (our favorite message : service is expired...)

This problem doesn't occur on computers which are rebooted periodically.

maybe restarting SEP service by task scheduler periodically (e.g. once a day) on PC's which are up all the time  (instead of rebooting the system) could be a solution or at least workaround?

    I'm kinda desperate ...

    Hi,

I would reach out and create a support ticket for this using the portal support option, as this will likely require a deeper investigation. Thanks!
