We are looking to upgrade our SEP version from 12.1.7061.6600 to 14 in the coming weeks. The problem I have is that there are a number of Windows Server 2003 in the environment that I wont be able to get rid of for another year or two.

As I understand it, I can upgrade the existing management server to version 14.3 RU1 and push out the agent upgrades to every machine in my environment apart from the 2003 machines. After April 3rd the Server 2003 machines with agent version 12.1 will cease to get any definition updates, exposing them to any new threats?

Or do I have it wrong - can I deploy version 14 of the agent on these machines and they will continue to work - only the management server is affected by this issue?

Thanks!
