Red Hat RHN and Patch Management

Hi,

We have some customers that are interested in using the patch management for Linux on their Red Hat servers. Is there more documentation explaining the RHN entitlement subscriptions and how the SMP server verifies and uses the channels?

We have set it up in a POC for them however some of the patching results varies and not consistent according to the one customer with the POC, now I can't test this or at least don't know how to test
