Hello . I think once a week I receive below messages . It indicates clients are trying to download full definition file.  I can understand that but so what? It also says something about there could network overload.

What is so dissapointing is , as a solution it is asking me to turn off full definition download option.

I think this is very wrong . Clients should download full definition files. So far I didn't receive any complaint about network being too slow. So I am ignoring message below. What do you think? how do you deal with this type of issue?

700 requests for Virus and Spyware full definitions received in the past 10 minutes. This situation could indicate a potential network overload.
You can block any future requests for full definitions. In the management console, go to Admin > Servers > Server Properties > Full Definitions Download tab, and check Prevent clients from downloading full definition packages.

Normally clients will update with a delta content set and not a Full definition download. These can be ignored if you are not noticing network issues. It is more of a warning.

You can temporarily disable or increase the threshold for the alert to avoid receiving these emails, or you can simply ignore them until such time as the clients have completed updating to the new definitions.
