Issue:

When calling the impact analysis stored procedure, DBXIA, from CA Repository for z/OS Webstation Option as part of a subordinate search query, zero result sets may be returned.  The following pop up window is displayed in the browser.

Cause:

In the pop up window pictured above the output parameters returned for parameter 3 and 4 are EDT + 57.     EDT corresponds to the Message Qualifier (MSG_QUAL) and 57 corresponds to the message id (MSG_ID).

If you query the DBX_MSG_TEXT table using these values as criteria the message text indicates that the user who invoked the DBXIA stored procedure is not authorized to see all rows.

Note.

Change REPOWNER to your repository creator

Resolution:

Define the user id attempting to invoke the DBXIA stored procedure to the Repository DBX_PRIV_USER table and associate it with a valid privilege.

This can be done via native SQL or by accessing the Repository Utility menu by issuing TSO ARZUTIL at the Repository command line and then selecting option 6 to

add the new user to the ALL DBEXCEL privilege.
