CA Workload Automation ESP Edition now offers a Representational State Transfer Application Programming Interface (REST API).The REST API allows your applications to inter-operate with CA Workload Automation ESP Edition and enables interaction with a web user interface.
Currently, the REST API provides three endpoints - /applications, /jobs, and /commands.
The users can utilize CA WA ESP Edition APIs to perform the following actions:
- Retrieve a list of jobs or applications, filtered by various criteria
- Access scoreboard data for a specific job or application
- Issue basic control commands for jobs and applications

CA Technologies, now a Broadcom Company, has delivered a simple way to leverage Zowe RESTful API services via the API Mediation Layer.The CA WA ESP Edition APIs are automatically discovered by the API Mediation Layer.
Zowe, the first open-source project for mainframes, offers modern interfaces to interact with z/OS and allows
you to work with z/OS in a way that is similar to what you experience on cloud platforms today. You can use
these interfaces as delivered or through plug-ins and extensions that are created by a community of clients
or third-party vendors.
