We have clients who are upgrading to CA Easytrieve release 11.6 and want to know if CA Pan/SQL product is still needed.
If so, what maintenance, if any, is required to have CA Easytrieve DB2 programs still run successfully?
Please note:
CA Pan/SQL 2.4C is still needed for CA Easytrieve release 11.6 as CA Pan/SQL is the DB2 interface for the CA Products, including CA Easytrieve.
There is maintenance available for the CA Pan/SQL product under Support Online, but it is not specifically for CA Easytrieve release 11.6.
If prior to release 11.6, you have EZT DB2 programs/applications running, then you should still have CA Pan/SQL installed and no further changes are needed.
Please be sure to include your CA Pan/SQL CAILIB in the JCL for those programs/applications.
