From time to time, it is good to review what is needed for the option file when running under true release 11.6 or in compatibility mode.
Please note that true release 11.6 uses EZOPTBL option file while running in compatibility mode uses the EZTPOPT module.
Compatibility mode occurs when either
1. you are executing a load module which was compiled and linked under the prior release of 6.4
-or-
2. when NEWFUNC is set to N in the EZOPTBL option file for release 11.6 and EZTPA00 is executed to compile and run the program.
For compatibility, please
1. Run JOB06OP1 to create the option file EZOPTBL for release 11.6.
2. Please copy your EZTPOPT module from release 6.4 to your release 11.6 CBAALOAD as the EZTPOPT module we deliver contains only default values.
For compiling and executing under true release 11.6, please run
1. JOB06OP1 - to create the release 11.6 option file EZOPTBL
2. MOV64OPT - to move as closely as possible the values from the 6.4 option file to release 11.6 option file EZOPTBL
3. JOB06OP2 - to list or change any values by running the JOB06OP2 JCL.
