Broadcom is continually working to improve our software and services to best meet the needs of our customers. As part of our regular product planning cycle, we have reviewed the position of the Vantage Windows client in the marketplace. While this product still provides useful functions to some customers, most of our customers would prefer to use the newer web based interface, which is easier for our customers to manage. In addition, its value to most customers and prospective customers in the market has declined significantly over the past few years. Therefore, we have decided to stabilize the Vantage Windows Client.
Functionally stabilizing a product means there will be no new Versions or Releases or further enhancements to this product. However, maintenance and support for this product will continue in accordance with your active maintenance contract for Vantage Storage Resource Manager.
Customers should migrate to the Vantage web based interface, "Mainframe Team Center – Management".
