Miroslav -- if it's okay with you, I'd like to move this to our Top Secret community where the team will better see it.
Is that okay with you?

Subject: TSS maintenance
Hi guys,
could you please share with me your strategy for TSS maintenance? We are building our new plan for that.
Idea is:
- In advance create new SECFILE, BKPFILE (we already find out that AIX and PATH files are needed also)
- To be sure that all files above are allocated OK we would stop TSS STC modify procedure pointing to the new file (in background change CAKOLINK and CAKOLPA libs to new one) then start TSS with new files.
- If TSS is up and running just start IPL
Why new file? Reason is PTF LU11480 which require new SECFILE. During testing we faced issue that also BKPFILE AND AIX+PATH were required. We were in situation when system did not come up after IPL. To avoid that we would like to start TSS with new file before IPL when system is fully under control. How does idea sound to you and what are your experience.
thank you
