Subject: SYSVIEW 17.0 Continuous Delivery Feature PTF General Availability Announcement

As part of our ongoing commitment to customer success under the Continuous Delivery model, we are pleased to announce the General Availability (GA) of the following feature PTF:
LU09745 - SOFTWARE RISK ASSESSMENT: PRODUCTS, RECEIVE ORDERS, HOLDDATA
This feature PTF contains several enhancements to Software Risk Assessment and various other minor updates. Software Risk Assessment is a feature of SYSVIEW and the Mainframe Essentials offering, providing users with critical information about your SMP/E managed mainframe software portfolios. This information helps users to see additional information that is found in SMP/E CSIs.
SYSVIEW users can now access and display important SMP/E information related to HOLDDATA, receive orders, and installed products.
Updates included with this PTF are -
- New CSI Commands were added that will allow SYSVIEW users -
- To view HOLDDATA information that is found in an SMP/E CSI data set.
- To easily access receive order information that is found in an SMP/E CSI data set. They can view a list of receive orders, the status of receive order requests, and a list of PTFs that are contained in a receive order.
- To retrieve a list of SMP/E installed products, features, and FMIDs.
- PTFS Command was enhanced, that will enable SYSVIEW users to retrieve product lifecycle information for only the current vendor displayed on the command.
- Miscellaneous Software Risk Assessment updates, that will empower SYSVIEW users -
- To overtype EOSWarn field in the information area of the PRODLIFE command.
- To view a new Version field on the PTFLIST command. The field indicates the product, feature, or FMID version.
- To define the product, feature, or FMID version associated with the entry using a new Version keyword.
- Function Registration updated which will now enable SYSVIEW users to view new fields (Product release and Function telemetry) from the IBM.

Additional Enhancements:
- Absolute Capping Monitoring - SYSVIEW users can easily access the status of absolute capping definitions (Absolute capping limit and Absolute capping group limit) on the PRISM command.
