The NetMaster team continues to enhance its API and Web Portal interfaces with valuable new SmartTrace functionality.
SmartTrace trace definitions can now be designated as favorites, which you can use as templates for new, similar trace definitions. SmartTrace definition favorites allow you to designate any definition as a favorite, at any point, either during the definition process, or when viewing existing definitions. Using favorites, you can create multiple, similar trace definitions very efficiently, because you do not need to re-enter the duplicate settings, or switch back and forth between different views to capture settings.
- In the NetMaster API Service, the new isFavorite property designates a trace definition as a favorite. If you designated a definition as a favorite in the NetMaster API service, it becomes available in the NetMaster Web Portal.
- In the NetMaster Web Portal, you can designation a trace definition as a favorite either from the Trace Definitions tab view, or while defining or editing a trace definition.
To take advantage of SmartTrace definition favorites, you must apply the NetMaster API Service PTFs (LU11828, LU11829, and LU11830) before you apply the NetMaster Web Portal PTF (LU11797).
