Subject: General Availability Announcement for HB.js V8
On behalf of Broadcom, we are pleased to announce that HB.js V8 (8.0) is Generally Available (GA).
This is the first release of HB.js as part of Broadcom. With V8, the HostBridge base product has been rebranded to HB.js.
This new release includes:
- The installation of the product using SMP/E batch JCL, CSM or IBM z/OSMF
- LMP Key support which gives the ability for centralized licensing with other Broadcom products, and enables ISV SCRT reporting
All enhancements and fixes from previous versions are included in 8.0.
You can download your copy of HB.js 8.0 online. Note, the SMP/E pax file is available now, and the PSWI pax file for z/OSMF will be available shortly. Visit the Tech Docs site, for Installation instructions and Release Notes. If you have any questions or require assistance, contact support.
A huge thank you to the HostBridge team for their hard work and effort put into building this first Broadcom release of HB.js.
Thank you also to everyone involved in ensuring the success of this GA release, including but not limited to CCS development for LMP support, all engineering teams involved in providing guidance, tech docs, support, and the Field teams for all your feedback.
Thank you for your business.
