GA Announcement: Level Set 15.1.03 for Datacom Core Products 15.1

Datacom CADRE Community members,

As part of our ongoing strategy to deliver new enhancements regularly during the life of a continuous delivery release, the Datacom group announces the publication of Level Set 15.1.03 for the Datacom 15.1 Core Products PAX:

• Datacom/DB
• Datacom Datadictionary
• Datacom Dataquery
• Datacom SQL
• Datacom Fast Restore
• Datacom Presspack

Applying the Level Set PTF will bring your environment to the current level of maintenance for the above components since it pre-reqs all maintenance published to date since the initial GA release of 15.1.  You can see the Level Set value externalized in various messages, in the MUF log and on certain reports and screens.

Enhancements included in Level Set PTF 15.1.03 include:

• VSAM Linear Datasets with Support for the Log Area (LXX) (LU12068)
• RANK, DENSE_RANK, and ROW_NUMBER Online Analytical Processing Specification (LU12543)

Three distributed components have also been released GA since Datacom Core Products 15.1 Level Set 15.1.02:

• Datacom Health Check Analyzer
• Database API Generator
• Datacom Systems REST API 2.0

Hello Dale,

We are interested in getting the current Datacom suite with all the fixes. If I download this, would I get all the incremental fixes in a PAX file?

Hi Sumana,

You do not get a PAX file.  You download   LU12801 like any other PTF . See the online documentation : Apply Level Set PTF Maintenance.

If you download the PTF manually in Broadcom Support Online then you get a zip file. You use CAUNZIP to unzip the file and generate SMP/E RECEIVE JCL .  See Download Zip Files and CAUNZIP Utility
