Our team is excited to announce the general availability of version 0.4.0 of Bridge for Git Explorer. This release includes a number of important enhancements that improve the experience of developers working with Bridge for Git mappings in VS Code. These include:
-
Ability to view mapping activity
Users can check what is happening in their mapping by viewing the Mapping Activity section in the tree. This can alert them as to what events may be occurring with their mapping.
-
Element history view
Users can view the history of elements that exist up the Endevor map from their mapping. They will be able to see the change levels along with user, CCID, and Comment information for each of the changes.
-
Processor group specification
Users can more easily specify processor groups for elements in their mapping by using the new context menu item. They can also see the processor group description in the command palette for easier identification.
- Improved profile experience
Users no longer need to have Zowe V1 profiles or the Team Configuration file. The extension will prompt the user for the necessary connection information (Endevor Connection and Git server) and store it for the session. V1 Profiles and the Team Configuration file remain supported and the recommended connection approach.
The release is available from the Visual Studio Code Marketplace here. If you have any issues obtaining the extension, please reach out to me. We very much hope you enjoy the new features of Bridge for Git Explorer version 0.4.0!
