Inspired by something written by a colleage at a previous shop, I'm working on an Ops/MVS 'Change management system', which will allow to to speciofcy a set of Ops/MVS entities (rules, execs, vars and tables) to be copied to a remote site together.
Once I've got the batch processes to gether to do the copiues (rules and execs via Connect:Direct, tables via ASOTEPI and vars via a custom exec) I'll probably drive it from an ISPF diaglog with the relateed elecments kept in an RDF table.
I'd also like to hspecify dependant items (e.g. my MQALERT rexx needs my SENDMAIL rexx, which in turn needs my 'GETADDRS' rexx) which are copied automatically and implemet a scheduled copy system, so the copy is triggered at a specified time.
I'm just wondering if anyone else has written or worked on such a system?
