Tech Tip from Karina Pulinx, Principal Support Engineer for March 8, 2017.
With 12.0 RO94870,it is now possible to direct your DBSQLPR STDOUT output to an external disk file (DTFNAME) by using the PRTFILE parameter.
This was not working with SQL version 11.0 (and older versions).
The output disk file is created as fixed unblocked with a record length as coded in PRTWIDTH.
The default record length is 132 when running DBSQLPR without the PRTWIDTH parameter.
If you are using CA EPIC then you need to install CA EPIC 5.2 for z/VSE PTF RO93586.
If you are running CA DYNAM/D 7.1 then nothing else is needed.
