Recommend periodic review of MICS VCC output for "improvement opportunity" gems like VCCVT56W.
One example of resulting improvement with 100 volumes needing ICKDSF/REFORMAT to rebuild VTOC INDEX - 20% reduction in I/O and CPU, just for the daily VCC SCAN - overall general z/OS system / access improvement less obvious though.
