  • 1.  Can ESP be configured to hit a REST based HTTP URL

    Does anyone know if ESP can be configured to hit a REST based HTTP URL?  We are being asked if this is possible by one of our customers and I am not sure if the Web Services plugin can handle this type of request or not.

    With the Application Services agent plugin, you can use HTTP Job types.  It seems to me that this would be easier / better to use for 'tickling' any URL, reglardless of whether it utilizes REST API's, Java backets (which is our case, with WAS) or anything else.

     

    I'll add the caviat that we are still trying to get this going effectivley on Windows Server 2012.

    Jonathan, thank you so much for the quick response to my question.  I appreciate you taking the time to offer your advice.  I will start playing around with the Application Services plugin and see what I can come up with.
